The aim of the workshop was to boost and furnish 50 Cameroonian climate justice protestors and ecological supporters with leadership abilities, key approaches to boost their operate at the grassroots in ecological and environment justice activism, campaigning for and ideal techniques fitting the context of Cameroon. We curated 4 modules for the workshop which included a Component on Management (leading self, servant-leadership and area influence), we believe that climate activism and climate justice starts with leadership, be it leading self or leading a group of people to promote this international reason for Climate and environmental Justice, a module on Climate modification, Environmental concerns and Sustainable Advancement, a component on environment justice advocacy and ecological campaigning for which likewise included essential methods to improve grassroots activism and a last component on an activity we created, the EARTH POWER MOTION.

We were incredibly fortunate to have actually had Angèle Taba a 2021 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders Other from Cameroon providing an impressive and life changing leadership session, the management session which lasted for over 90 mins additionally had discussions around just how we can ideal leverage our staminas to influence better our communities.

Mangong Brian a great environmental engineer, sustainability supporter and expert offered a wonderful module on environment adjustment, environmental concerns and lasting advancement. We believe recognition is type in any type of kind of advocacy or advocacy and wherefore it’s worth, there can’t be Climate/Environmental JUSTICE without Awareness, we begin with the basics constantly

With my over 6 years’ experience in this setting and climate area, I pierced individuals on climate activism and advocacy, environmental justice and grassroots advocacy: participants likewise found out essential strategies to improve their advocacy/activism job; sourcing for grants/funding to foster their job and most notably sharing my individual experience with the individuals.

With our PLANET POWER MOTION campaign and educational program, we had individuals separated right into two teams, each group servicing a project which will certainly be implemented consequently. It was truly exciting to see the unbelievable and outstanding projects developed by the individuals. One team created a campaign around “Ending nonrenewable fuel source infrastructural growth” which they called “ALLOWS QUIT DARK POWER INTRUSION ; the second group established a campaign around “Simply Transition to renewable Energy” which they called “CLEAN ENERGY FOR ALL” I could not be more happy with the imagination and resourcefulness of the individuals when they presented their projects:

71 percent of Worldwide Greenhouse gas discharges is caused by 100 markets in the fossil fuel field If there’s going to be any type of form of environment justice and if we are to quit the climate crisis, then nonrenewable fuel sources must be a distant memory. With our 2 campaigns, we hope to bring these issues to light particularly in the country and internationally.

Cameroon aims at having 25 % of renewable resource in its power mix by 2030 With the Renewable energy possibility in the country, our team believe this is not enough.

In the nation’s power framework, For HEP (Hydroelectric Power) which constitutes the greatest portion of the country’s power supply, over 5 MW (Megawatts), it is considered Non-renewable which Naturally can be made Sustainable by rethinking its growth and style. Our campaign around “Finishing Fossil Fuels Infrastructural growth in the nation” and with the country’s goal of decreasing exhausts to 32 percent by 2030, we have a chance to stop any type of fossil fuel infrastructural advancement and promote a SIMPLY SHIFT to Renewable resource.

It is our think that outfitting grassroots leaders in promoting climate justice is crucial. With this we are intensifying the work of local leaders and with each other we can foster Climate Activity.

We are happy to quit the Money Pipe and our partners for relying on the power of youngsters and grassroots climate justice protestors in this climate justice activity specifically in the Global South.

Finally I admonished our 50 individuals from different parts of Cameroon with this individual quote from my experience” … It is what you do locally that will take you International. In this Environmental and Climate Space, Think Around the world, Act in your area and the World will certainly offer you an audience …”
